The trek will start with overnight tent camping at the Mather Campground located in the Grand Canyon Village. This will allow us to start our first descent down the South Kaibab trail at 4 am. This will get us to the bottom of the canyon, which can reach 110 degrees in Aug, by day break. We will descend 6128 ft in 10.2 miles.

Once we reach the Canyon floor we will cross the Colorado River on the Kaibab Suspension Bridge, continuing pass the Phantom Ranch.

Our fist Assent will begin as we start the North Kaibab Trail. This trail rises to 8350 ft above sea level in 14.2 miles of grueling terrain. This is the only trail on the north side of the canyon that stretches from the bottom to the rim. The challenge comes from the steep, rugged terrain and primitive trails. The rewards include solitude among the most scenic features in all the canyon lands. We hope to witness condors in flight, Elk, mountain lions, Bighorn sheep and river otters.
Upon reaching the north rim we will take the time for a group picture, however we must turn 180 degrees and descend to the canyon floor. This trip to the bottom will see temps reaching the day time high. After passing the Phantom ranch we will ascend the south rim after crossing the Colorado River on the Bright Angle Suspension Bridge. The bright angle trail will provide some of the trips steepest terrains rising 6785 ft in 12.3 miles. The trip will conclude once we reach the top of the South Rim
